DESCRIPTION:Date: 12 & 19 November 2022 \nTime: 7: 30a.m – 9am \nLocation: Beggars Colony Agege & Ikorodu \nTarget: Young Disadvantaged Children 0 – 6 \nIn commemoration of World Kindness Day celebrated worldwide on November 13th also in line with the organization’s core motivation (Luke 4:18-19 & Gal 5:22).  Caring Hearts Initiative will be reaching out to young disadvantaged children 0 – 6 in Agege and Ikorodu communities. \nThe aim is to promote the importance of being kind to each other and the world at large irrespective of religion\, class or ethnic difference with a purpose of driving home the understanding that compassion for others binds everyone together \nThe theme for this year’s program is: ‘A CARING HEART A GIVING HEART’ \nHighlight of event include: \n\nProvision of breakfast for 500 most vulnerable children in the slum of Agege and Ikorodu\nProvision of nutrition education to caregivers\nOrientation on Early Childhood Development (ECD)\nDistribution of clothing.\n\nObjective: To promote nutritional wellbeing of Children in vulnerable households. \nDesired outcome: \n\n500 young disadvantaged children 0-6 in 2 LGAs (Agege & Ikorodu) would be encouraged and liberated.\nCaregivers of young disadvantaged children 0-6 would be educated and motivated on the importance of nutrition in the development of their children.\n500 young disadvantaged children 0-6 in 2 LGAs (Agege & Ikorodu) would have received quality nutritional support as a result of the activity.\nMore awareness would have been created in these 2 LGAs (Agege & Ikorodu)\n\nAt this event\, the organization will be having a simple breakfast of tea\, bread and egg with the children in their environment. \nWith your kind donation of just Five Hundred Naira N500\, a child will be provided with breakfast of bread\, egg and tea on that day. She doesn’t fear that Jesus will take anything from her\, or take anything of her. \nSo what does a safe person look like? And more importantly\, how do we become one? \nA safe person is humble.  \nHumble people don’t look down on others from their “superior” position\, but they don’t put others on a pedestal either. They understand that the ground is level at the foot of the cross. \nA safe person understands grace and gives it to others. \nGrace is acceptance. God accepts us just as we are but He doesn’t agree with our sin. \nSafe people encourage others\, by their example of transparency and authenticity. \nSafe people remember there are two sides to every story\, and they wait to make a judgment till they hear the other side. \nSafe people seek to maintain a non-judgmental attitude toward others. \nThey don’t shame others. They don’t criticize others. \nSafe people are honest people. \nThey speak the truth in love (Eph. 4:15) as a way of life. Safe people are good listeners. \nSafe people love with God’s love. \nSafe people love others unconditionally. They love the way God loves. \nSafe people are forgiving people. \nThey extend to others the forgiveness they have received from God and from others. \nBe a safe person like Jesus – Be a safe parent\, a safe spouse\, a safe volunteer\, a safe leader\, a safe discipler\, and also a safe friend.
